KickBack Boston was conceived on our front porch. On a warm summer night, we were with friends and wanted to get into something that wouldn’t require us to change into a restricted dress code and listen to outdated Top 40 playlists, Boston nightlife’s usual offering. We couldn’t think of any options that would cater to our laid back vibe that we so easily created with friends in our own spaces. So we decided to do our own thing – get a space, bring in a DJ for folks to casually connect without pretension – no dress code, low admission fee. We decided to go with the event name The KickBack because it captured the energy we wanted to invite and curate.

We feed each other…
We realized pretty early at Project Paulie that “feeding each other” is not just about food. #WeFeedEachOther by being kind, taking care of our environment. Looking out for each others mental health. Providing clothing, a roof and most importantly, safety. We took our iconic tomato logo we have used for our service and we attached each color hat to an organization that we feel is betters the quality of lives everyday. Organizations that feed people everyday in different ways and we are so honored for our proceeds to go to such magical organizations!
LET US REFLECT AND REJOICE THE TRIUMPH OF SPIRIT. THE RESILIENCE OF BLACKNESS THAT TRANSMUTE OPPRESSION AND THEREBY WITHIN PLIGHT FINDS SOLACE. WHAT IS IT LIKE TO WRITE A LOVE LETTER TO YOUR CHILDHOOD HOME AND, IN DOING SO, YOURSELF TO FIND (READ:CONFRONT), SELF, A BLACK MAN MUST WADE THROUGH WATER, HOWEVER METAPHORICAL IN NATURE.
HERE, DAVID HOCKNEY’S PORTRAIT OF AN ARTIST SERVES AS A VEHICLE TO EXPLORE THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN AN IDEALIZED SENSE OF SUCCESS AND A MAN WHO, IN THE FACE OF VIOLENCE AND TRAGEDY, CONSTRUCTED A BEAUTIFUL PATH TO FREEDOM. LURKING A LAYER BELOW, THIS EXAMINATION PRESENTS US WITH THE REALITY OF OUR PAST CIRCUMSTANCES. THAT IS A MAN TRAPPED IN A PRISON; HE WAS NEVER MEANT TO ESCPAE. HIS VOICE IS THE ONLY MEANS WITH WHICH HE MIGHT ESCAPE THE BOX. POOLSIDE.
CHANGE REQUIRES ACCEPTING VIEWS.

The Piano Craft Gallery advances the understanding of contemporary visual and performing arts in the community and promotes artistic purposes through exhibits, performances, lectures, meetings, and seminars in connection with matters of artistic concern. The Piano Craft Gallery is an all volunteer-run non-profit community gallery space devoted to sharing artists’ work with the public.
The Pianoforte Manufactury, built by Jonas Chickering & Sons, was completed in 1853. At the time, it was the largest building in the country.
For 75 years, the Chickering Piano Factory produced the finest American pianos (grands, baby grands, uprights, square pianos, and harpsichords), even rivaling the European Steinway. In 1974, the Piano Factory became one of the first factory/loft conversions, with nearly 200 residences and creative spaces, including a theater, printshop, and a large gallery at the entrance of the building. After 40 years, the Piano Craft Gallery was moved to its current location, a larger and more comfortable exhibit space.
Hab House is a family operated business focused on making a habanero based pepper sauce. We believe in providing the best combination of heat and flavor with a concentrated focus on flavor to provide our customers with a tasty experience using the habanero pepper.
Our sauce is dairy-free and meat-free, so although we don't market ourselves that way, we are Vegan. And for those that don't like frozen, we use fresh ingredients. We are also eco-conscious so we only use glass bottles. We currently sell 10oz, 5oz, and 15ml bottles.
Our hope is that our customers enjoy the heat but also the flavor of our sauce. We hope that these flavors will inspire new culinary dishes but also bring back the comfort of the islands in the Caribbean. Although we hail from Trinidad & Tobago (and my husband from Belize), we think everyone can and will enjoy our sauce.
